Hi! My name is Mrs. Ashley Illig and I am the Media Specialist at Cainhoy Elementary in Huger, SC. 

This is my second year at Cainhoy and I love it! 
Before becoming a Media Specialist, I was a Reference Librarian at the College of Charleston. Originally I am from the Greenville, SC area and currently live in Awendaw, SC. 

I graduated from College of Charleston in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in History and Psychology. After the College of Charleston, I attened the University of South Carolina and received my Master's Degree in Library and Information Science in 2011. 

I love to read, fish, garden, be outside and eat, and be with my family! 

Our library is loud! We are usually on the move and building and exploring. My goal is for our students to come to the library and have fun and learn at the same time. I want the students to have a wide range of resources available to them and to enjoy the books we have in the library.
